I have never in my life (after I know English) seen such a RACIST instructor!

He spread his generalizations about "Chinese" people, and he said it like they are merely just his observations he got when he was in China. He would smile and ask us Chinese students whether it's true. But so what if we say no? He still persisted, and brushed through with "well, that's what I saw in China."

I understand that everyone gets be judgmental, we have our opinions and generalizations about people from other cultures. But, you are a FREAKING INSTRUCTOR! An instructor should never ever encourage thoughts that allow one culture of students to judge the other, let alone spread your BIASED thoughts. And now, even the students are starting to be impolite towards Chinese. They raised comments like "Why are those people in Canada, when they can't even speak Chinese?" Do you even know what our parents went through to get here? Why do they have to learn to speak your language at their age?

All the words that come out of his stubborn head are like triggers. I felt like I could jump up in the class at any moment just to point out what an idiot he is. Maybe he wasn't directly insulting Chinese culture, it is still wrong of him to put in personal comments that are controversial and could potentially influence the whole class.

I never wanted to be so extreme on my blog, but on his class, I really want to stand out and say that I am Taiwanese, not Chinese, so I could get out of his circle. And if he starts on Taiwanese, I can defend for something I know for sure.
