Book Content: Mitch's old Sociology professor is diagnosed with ALS, which causes his body to deteriorate slowly. Before the disease could take away his professor, Mitch resume the Tuesday session with him (like they did in Mitch's college life), and learn about life's most valuable lesson.

As I begin to read this book, actually half way through the book, I had felt it was not for me. It seemed like a book about death and how we should cherish each leaf, each gust of wind, cherish love, even if it means we have to put our ambition aside and material shouldn't be something we focus on.

At this point of my life, isn't money everything? isn't a chance to make good money everything? "Maybe this book will set me back", I had thought. Also, when I talked to my parents about some of the ideas in the book, they had thought the book is idealistic. Well, believing one should work for satisfaction over money is indeed an idealistic concept.

But as I was close to the end of the book, I started to realize that "even if it is too idealistic, it is better to have the idea, than to have no faith at all".

"Tuesdays with Morrie" is a book of teaching. It uses simple words and easy examples to show the readers another aspect of life. The aspect of pure fulfillment that does not come from nice car, nice house, nice reputation, but comes from within, what truly inspires a person.

What I realized from the book is, I don't have to give up anything because I believe in this book and its theories. Instead, I can try to have it all. Because it is ANOTHER part of life, the part where you love the people around you like it's the last day you have on earth. (Say "thank you", be nice, be friendly, at least we have to try). "Forgive yourself and forgive others, don't wait", Morrie said. Cherish the surrounding while we are busy with our lives.

It is idealistic, but it is also do-able, because other than material world, we also need spirit in our hearts.
